Last year this time he was definitely going to transfer.

I sort of doubt the NC State football coach has Caldwell in his future plans, especially for just a year or two. Remember, if he starts one game he takes a football scholarship.

But hey, it could happen I suppose.....

that's too bad, just as Metcalf is closing the gap between them. he didn't get pinned this time like he did in the only other match they had that counted. He's for sure getting better. maybe next year he could stay in the bout for a period or two.

its probably best that they dont wrestle again, someone may end up with a broken limb or some permanant damage.

kudos to Caldwell for pursuing his interests.

If I'm being honest I would tell you that I didn't really think about the match up that much at all.

I'll be honest again though and tell you I probably got a little goofy in my last post over your use of the word "rematch" in yours. I see now that you're probably using it in reference to your boy getting one and not saying that they need to wrestle again so Caldwell can "prove himself" or some other such nonense.

Yeah it's crazy that he's athletic enough to wrestle and play football.

The thing is, like other people have said, it will be tough to make a D1 football lineup in 1 year--especially after not playing in a while.

Anyway, best of luck to him. I hope he enjoys the rest of his athletic career, whatever it may entail.

He has wanted to play football every year and they have not let him. Not sure why that would change for his last year. He was also planning to play baseball.

180-185 is a little little light for a D-Back, but he that is where he's headed, ergo the reference to return at 165.

Darrion is very athletic. If there is one kid that could adapt to Div I football quickly, it is Caldwell as a safety. I think he has a better shot of succeeding at NC St football than Goodman had. It's too bad Goodman didn't realize that sooner and return to the mat. He was a potential A-A had he hung with the sport.

    Particularly a reputable jersey poster.
