Back in Nov Disney and Berhow met in the finals at the Bison open. Berhow won 4-2 SV. I think agree that Atticus will probably push Berhow next year which should be good for them and the team.

There is reason to believe this alternative as well (although I agree with what JensenS posted for a response)

    125 - Sanders
    133 - Bart Reiter
    141 - David Thorn
    149 - Mike Thorn
    157 - Mason
    165 - Deitchler
    174 - Ortiz/C. Yohn
    184 - S. Yohn
    197 - Geiger
    285 - Berhow/Disney

If you look at who they have recruited and where they have recruited them at in terms of which weight classes it is hard to rule out the possibility of them preparing Thorn and Mason to move up.

The necessity to make these moves will be based on how well Bart Reiter and David Thorn acclimate themselves to college wrestling. They are either going to be in the line-up at the same time or they are going to compete for one spot. In either situation the Gophers should have the depth to stay a national title contender.

Mason and Deitchler moving up would definitely make for some interesting choices.

Don't know if I can see Thorn as a 149 pounder, he was a tiny 133 when he was a true freshman and while he has gotten himself up to a decent sized 141 he still isn't particularly big there.

Because he would be transferring from one Big Ten school to another, Benefiel cannot get any scholarship money ever from Minny. May be a deterrent to him transferring there.
