Peyton has done more with less than any QB in history.I hope Denver wins the super bowl and Irsay strokes out.
I would argue Dan Marino on that point.

Marino sure was a great talent, no doubt about that!

Regarding Peyton and Luck. People said the same thing about Favre and Rodgers. You need to have a vision for the future.

That is somewhat true, but not entirely IMO. Even though Favre was known for refusing to mentor Rodgers, Rodgers did get to watch how one of the best of all time plays the game. Not only did he have the luxury of sitting on the sidelines for a couple of seasons and taking notes, he also got to see how a hall of famer prepares in practice. Luck will not have that luxury. He will definitely have to be as good as Peyton to step right in and succeed.

I would actually argue Tom Brady on this point. As a Bills fan, I don't want to but I have to tip my hat to the guy. He spreads the ball around to whoever he has or can. Payton Manning first had Marvin Harrison then Reggie Wayne, both very very good. Marino had Mark(s) Clayton and Duper who were both pretty damn good.

Not saying that Brady had $hit talent to throw to, just seems that the other two had more reliable go-to guys on their teams.

    .

I do have a vision for the future and I'm hopeful that it will be bright with Luck. But even Peyton had to struggle some his first couple of seasons in the NFL. A real win-win situation would have been to let Peyton play out his last few years with the Colts, all the while developing Luck (which I'm sure he would have done, even if Favre didn't do it). Luck will have started a couple of years down the line a seasoned ready quarterback. In the meantime the Colts fans could enjoy watching the last years of Peyton's successful career, and anticipate the next chapter with Luck. Alas, that won't happen and I wouldn't be surprised if Colts revenues go backwards for a while.

Through their first 7 seasons as full time starters (Brady did nothing his first year, Eli came in about halfway through, so I'll disregard both), Eli has more yards and TD's and beat Brady head to head in two Super Bowls while Brady was in his prime. Eli is just now hitting his prime.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

One, two, Evans is coming for you...

I'm too lazy to look that up, but that's incredible.

Youre conveiniently disregarding Elis interceptions, but fine. It means very little considering Tom has more rings, more super bowl appearances(2 time super bowl mvp) 2 time regular season mvp. Not to mention Eli has had elite defenses around him both years, where Bradys have been mediocre to horrible at times. Not to mention the offensive weapon disparity as well.

Youre a homer, and i have no allegiances to Brady as Im a skins fan.
