If Kelly went up to 157, who would Iowa have at 149--one of the Ballwegs (Jake?)? I believe Dziewa is going down to 141 isn't he? I wouldn't think replacing Kelly with Ballweg would be an improvement--unless they have someone better to come in.

I was thinking more along the lines of Carew or Moore.

And no surprise a thread about an Oklahoma State transfer turns to discussion of Iowa's lineup haha. I counter with my guess of Oklahoma State's lineup next year

    125- Tyler Dorrell
    133- Jon Morrison
    141- Jordan Oliver
149- Alex Dieringer (with Kindig redshirting)
    157- Stephen Swan (if eligible)
    165- Tyler Caldwell
    174- Chris Perry
    184- Jordan Rogers
    197- Blake Rosholt
    285- Alan Gelogaev

If Stephen Swan can't compete then Dieringer will be 157 and Kindig won't redshirt

I would rather JO go 149 than Kindig.

Dieringer was a good sized 74 kg. 49 will be a tremendous pull if you ask me.

I really hope that Rogers takes a RS year. Guys from WA and OR need a year of RS to be decent mat wrestlers (please see WA's last #1 recruit Derek Garcia).

Just when I forgot why I was so excited about Chris Phillips, you remind me.

I honestly think that Garcia can and will be a multi time AA. I just think he needs a year to put on more muscle (157 may have been a better weight for him) and some time to get used to what D1 mat wrestling is all about. They are so fast to call stalling on the top man in the PNW that we don't develop much ground work. Most summer camps up here focus on takedowns and defense from your feet. There is VERY little emphasis on mat work (with a few of our top programs being exceptions).

Prediction: Derek Garcai is at least a 2x AA, and has at least one finish higher than 5th.

Ha ha! I know your predictions and I hope you're right. I was just trying to get under your skin.
