OT Rideout stall calls Does anyone else think it makes sense to remove stalling calls from the 30 second rideout? Of course the guy on top is stalling. Who the hell is looking for a turn during the rideout?
It is impossible for the refs to call stalling consistently in this situation.
Maybe be a little more active with calling the stalemates.

Re: OT Riideout stall calls It would and it wouldn't if you were quick to call stalemates and give the bottom wrestler a fresh start then he would be able to execute a sitout or other escape to clear his ankles.
Re: OT Riideout stall calls Rideouts are fundamentally a flawed way to do 2OT, but I think quick stalemates and no stalling are the way to go. But then again if they know there's no stalling what's to keep them from consistently grabbing the ankle?
Re: OT Riideout stall calls I think they should wrestle extra 2 minute periods until someone scores. I don't think it will take any longer for a match than stopping after a 1 minute and stopping after each guys rides etc., would probably take less time.
Re: OT Riideout stall calls If they do a quick stalemate you might starting seeing cautions and then penalty points for false starts which would add an element of suspense to the overtime.
