    Was thinking that the answer to the original question might be to make the control criterion the same for a rideout as for a takedown. Since holding an ankle wouldn't constitute a takedown, give the escape at that point and wrestle on.

    I can't recall ever seeing stalling called in the 30 minute overtime period.

    I definitely have, more than once, but obviously nowhere near as much as it should/would be called during regulation.

    It happened this year more than once.

    If the score is tied up at the end of regulation the person with the cooler shoes should win automatically.
