I don't think its quite fair to compare DSJ to Hatchett. DSJ is a much more challenging opponent than Hatchett imho.

The B1G champ is not ''much of a threat '' ?

Quinn--Before I read your post I was thinking the same thing. Dake has incredible confidence in himself (justified I believe) and I think if left to himself would rise to the challenge (not to mention Howe there as well). But that said, I don't see him beating Taylor. However I'm sure that Dake thinks he can.

If Dake wants the Hodge next year, he'll have to go up and give Taylor a loss, and then continue up the weight classes and give Ed Ruth a loss too

    Yes, I did.

DSJ appeared taller than him as does Taylor. I went off of that. Was he taller than Molinaro? Yes, but so is my 8 year old. It was my opinion. If you asked me is Dake tall for his weight class I guess I wouldn't say "yes".

Is your 8 year old taller than Bono also?

No, but he's taller than Henson.

The temptation for Dake to win four titles at four different weight classes may be too much to resist. He's got his three. He wouldn't be the first four timer. The chance to set this possibly unmatchable record probably outweighs the risk of failure.

Everyone can jump on me for this but I honestly don't think it would even be close. I would take Taylor by a score of something like 11-5. Dake has great D but it wouldn't even matter. Taylor could still put on a takedown clinic if he wanted to. DSJ wasn't 100% and it's not like Dake whipped him. Dake is very very good but he isn't beating David Taylor. Just my opinion
