    Default seeding question

WTH did Asper drop like a rock after losing to Yates while Sorenson didn't budge after losing to Toal ? Yates =22-5 , Toal =20-8 ?

My guess is because Sorenson had more quality wins during the year, so his numbers were better when they looked at seeding. Asper missing Midlands hurt him.

Not saying I'm right or that this is right, just saying this is what I'm guessing.

Sorenson's Major of Yates couldn't have hurt, plus he had wins over Evans Bekzod, and a previous major of Toal. Looking back Sorenson has a lot of good wins and only 2 losses that count(He lost to Fittery at Midlands). He's lost to Toal, who he's beaten badly this year, and he's lost to Ben Jordan which he later avenged.

Aspers best win this year is a 5-4 over Yates and a win over Scott Winston. He beat a lot of garbage this year. 18 of his 24 wins this year were over guys I've never heard of. I feel like Sorenson earned a higher seed than Asper personally.

For the same reason that Amu got the #3 ranking for finishing runner-up and going undefeated the next year? Some things just don't make sense. I would like to actually hear the argument as I'm sure there was some hearty conversation going on.

It seems like this year the committee considered RPI pretty highly this year. Not necessarily bad, but I wish the NCAA would produce guidelines.

Yeah, I don't mind using logic lets just let set the criteria and let the fans know. Its like we're some kind of lepers.
