Why are people saying that he's changed his mind? Wouldn't he make such a decision after the Greco Nationals and and Team Trials?

One would think unless he has simply changed his mind and realized that he can still accomplish those goals AFTER a college experience. Maybe he is a little homesick, who knows. Its on the The Mat as well.

    Apparently this is true.

I don't think Schlatter will go 165 though. That just seems like a really big jump after 3 years at 149. Maybe he will do it though--especially since he is wrestling 163 internationally. If he does, 165 is going to be a fierce weight next year.

Like I said on the other thread, I hope the Gophers don't grossly underachieve like they did last year...

they beauty of it is that the vast majority of the lineup is going to be freshman, so I dont think they are going to be saddled with the same kinds of expectations as last years team was what with returning champs and finalists and multiple AA's.

I'm still scratching my head as to how we ended up in 10th last year, we had a finalist and 4 AA's. Maths never been my strong suit but I would have thought that was good for a few places higher

Tann did it and looked good doing it...I think DS has always had the frame for 165...I know that Jensens and I used to go back and forth about that all the time and how big DS looked at 149...all that being equal...I think if he can add the weight and keep his speed that it is going to be a nice transition for him at 165. Gotta agree though, that's a fierce weight. The move up to 174 for a guy like Glasser may also be good for him.
