    Default 174 Bracket redrawn

    New brackets attached.

    Email from the NCAA:

Because of the withdrawal of a seeded wrestler at 174 (Spangler) that bracket has been redrawn. Sheptock moves up into the 12th seed

Wow--that makes a difference, especially for Minn! Storley initially got a tough draw with Henderson of Missouri, and now has Clemons of Chatt. Lofthouse gets a pig-tail with good possibility for bonus. He also gets Sheptock 2nd round instead of Zeerip who I think is more dangerous for Lofthouse. Ruth gets Henderson 2nd round instead of any easy bonus. The match-up changes could well result in a few points difference in the team standings.

Are they going to continue to redraw and give Amuch the 1 seed and Ruth the 2?

That's what I thought when I first read the title "174 Bracket redrawn". I think Amu deserves the #1 seed (and definitely now #3!).

would one be right to assume Spangler's career is over with all the concussions?

My first thought when I saw the initial bracket was that Logan was a possible upset victim in the first round despite the fact that he beat Henderson at the Scuffle.

Won't complain at all that he's away from him now.
