Why would David Taylor get OW for the conference when Molinaro didn't give up a point. Not to mention Gonzalez upsetting Powless in the finals and winning the Big 10 from the #5 seed?

Re: OW Big 10 & Big 12 Meh. There were less automatic qualifiers from 141 than any other weight class in the B1G, right? Russell was tossed a "lifetime achievement" bone, imo. Less-than-impressive wins over Pearsall and Dardenes and a last-second third takedown against Marion don't "wow" me. Additionally, I think 141 was tougher last year. 149 might have been a slightly weaker weight class, but a pin and two shutout TF's (how often do you even see one of those at this level?) in the B1G tourney are pretty impressive. Re: OW Big 10 & Big 12 I can agree with the split though. I think the Awards are pretty stupid anyway. The award is winning the B1G Title and individual weight. The rest seems kind of silly.
