Thread: Speaking of REALLY bad announcing!!!

That further solidifies my argument that the reason we don't get more people at wrestling matches is because they don't know what's going on. A quick 10min seminar would help. Or, maybe a credit card sized scoring breakdown that is handed out as you enter would help. I use something like that at the blackjack table and the others are glad I do.

    I couldn't stop watching.

On a positive note I did love the "Stallmate" I think that should become an official call by the NCAA and NFHS. I'm going to start using it in practice next year and any wrestler that gets a "stallmate" has 20 extra stairs at the end of practice.

I think you meant "Stalwart"? Cracking me up, anytime both wrestlers got to their feet its almost as if that was not "neutral" but rather "stalwart" position.

    "Center place, square down."

"Tries immediately for the take around"

"That's two points takedown, they haven't rewarded it yet" LMAO..."The ref will NOT allow any points there"

Neb vs Penn State, listen closely to the announcers when the ref is calling stalling. (fist to the back is what the announcers are calling as if its a punch) pretty sad and does nothing for elevating the sport.

I reported on that 3 weeks ago and no one noticed. You are right, it was absolutely hilarious! DC

DC- sorry I think we saw the post, but without the, uhhhhm highlight? video, it didn't have the impact.

My two thoughts: First, it was comically bad. I was truly laughing out loud.
Second, I can't understand how the B10 network found and then allowed these two to do the broadcast
Finally, I am certain that they were given a list of about 20 words before the match and were told they had to work them into the broadcast.

Given their total lack of knowledge and their required word list, I think they did well.

A). Please change your Avatar BBL?
B). I'm not sure these guys were actually doing the BTN broadcast, they sounded like Brown Institute interns maybe doing a campus or college Internet show?
