I agree, but I posted this on themat, and I'll bring it over:

Your not supposed to "look beyond". That's a really, slippery slope. "Well, Lofthouse lost to Storley, but he had a cold that day, so..." You get the point. You can only look at the actual result of the match. What if Olanowski would have hit a Hail Mary Headlock for the unlikely pin and win? Exactly. The results are the results when it comes to seeding. Now, obviously the loss to Olanowski isn't a strong predictor of what's likely to happen in the rematch, but that's not the job of the committee.

As no surprise it looks like the team title will come down to Minn, Iowa and PSU. Here are their pre-seeds:

    PSU: 1st-3 2nd-3 3rd-2 4th-0 (8 ranked in top 4)
    Minn: 1st-3 2nd-2 3rd-1 4th-2 (8 ranked in top 4) with Yohn a lower-ranked threat
    Iowa: 1st-1 2nd-2 3rd-2 4th-1 (6 ranked in top 4) with DSJ & Telford as lower-ranked threats

I thought I posted this before, but don't see it anywhere. If it pops up on another thread by mistake--my apologies.

No clue how Delgado is seeded behind Megaludis. Real strange.

The only truly annoying seeding for me is Delgado at 4. What has Nico done to go above Jesse? They have the same number of losses, the same number of conference losses, Jesse has the better "marquee" win over McDonough, and Megaludis has the "worst" loss, losing to Olanowski by DQ. A travesty if those seeds stay as is.
I had Nico as the 5 seed. I can't believe that the 3 seed will hold.

    Obviously a Penn State conspiracy!

I had Nico as the 1 seed. I took into account his highschool wrestling resume while seeding. I was also surprised that Mertolotti didn't get the 1 seed. I hear he is a practice allstar

Seeding is not solely based upon B1G win/losses. You may remember Chad Beatty getting a #1 seed without winning a single big ten match.

I assumed Megaludis would get the 4 seed. He beat Mele and Dijulius H2H. It is a bit of a head scratcher that Megaludis is seeded over Delgado. Only reason for it is if you consider that Megaludis beats Mele who beat Delgado. I still think Delgado's win over McD trumps that easily though.
