Also, Byers laid a pretty sound beating on Haynes . He must want to wrestle conferences .

I'm surprised by several things: 1) that they wrestled a dual this late in the season; 2) that Waters didn't wrestle--I'm assuming this is just precautionary--was he hurt in the Natl Duals?; 3) that Bailey beat Toal; 4) that Byers put a beating on Haynes (a close decision wouldn't have surprised me, but not a lopsided score like that!)--Haynes may replace Perry for the "inconsitency award" as some put it; 5) Interested to see how well Marsden is doing coming late out of a RS year.

Marsden has impressed me with how he's handled the quick promotion.

I watched the Byers match, he looked awesome. Haynes was never close to scoring. They nearly fought at the end too.

Haynes is the prototypical rider/scrambler - putting up larger point win margins than you would think and vice versa in the losses.

I was going to PM you the results so you could adjust your line up as you guys don't have a backup rule.

Yeah, I adjusted already. I always thought Cayle was the better guy, just a matter of health. He can beat anyone but Honeycutt imo.

The reason this dual was wrestled so late was because it was a makeup for the cancelled dual earlier in the season. I was always a supporter of Byers while my dad was a big Rosholt guy. But I think this result means we're going with Byers for conferences. Outside of Gibson there aren't that many good heavyweights in the Little 5 so I could see Marsden slipping into nationals in a sort of Colemon Scott/Nathan Morgan last second deal. Although Marsden might be the most last second redshirt pull I have ever seen
