I was living in Cedar Falls when this happened. I was working at Sears in Waterloo and could not make it to that one. But the news traveled so fast that I heard about it from a shopper before my buddy could call me right after it happened. I should've just skipped work that day. Shitty job anyway.

I had a forty minute conversation about wrestling with Mack Reiters dad in the refrigeration isle one day.

You are bringing up long hidden memories. I remember more clearly Konrad beating Mocco in the nationals finals. You would be hard pressed to find a day my dad was more furious.

Yeah, I tried there. Plenty of NCAA finals against Mocco. . No National Duals.
