    Default Mock B1G Tourney

Here is the B1G Tourney based on just rankings at this point.

I only listed ranked wrestlers in the Top 20 based on InterMat's latest Rankings.

No points were awarded to a team if they did not have a wrestler ranked in each weight class. No bonus points were awarded either.

That's interesting. I can see MN exceeding these seeds.

No St. John or Gambrall in these mock rankings both returning AA's.

Note that DSJ for Iowa at 157 isn't ranked due to injury. He's back wrestling again and if he's healthy he leap frog's to #1 (well, I guess with his loss to Demas, Welch would be #1 seed, but a healthy DSJ would be the favorite in my book--IF he's healthy).

Minny has a problem in that the Dardaneses are very tough, but both are in very tough weight classes, which make getting a high place challenging. Both of those weights are really up for grabs (except I think Russell takes 141--but below him the places are up for grabs). PSU is really helped by that in that our weakest weights are log jammed weights that will be tough to get a high place anyway.

Well someone has to get those high placings, that doesn't just nullify the weight or points. I think Welch earns the #1 bc he's been there all year. DSJ is a ? At this time and I think Minnesota gets Zilverburg in there at 157 and he finishes Top 5. He just kept Kokesh to a 6-3 decision wrestling a weight up. If Dardanes both finish Top 4, Zilverburg Top 5 and C Yohn top 5, I think Minny has a good shot. I look for Storley to be extremely fortunate to match his seed at that weight. He'll surprise no one this time around. No one has seen Gambrall wrestle at 184 so it's hard pressed to say he'll make it and if so, how he'll do. I think Steinhaus is a much better match-up against him than S Yohn anyway.

The new and improved version or the slimmed down version of the same thing?
