I like the rule how it stands, but I would love to see a 5 pt tech given for someone who either got backs or a stalling point (not just a warning). I also think that they should have kept the stalling rule so that you get 2 points for the fourth call and every subsuquent call.

I love this. I can only hope the NCAA adopts 3 point majors(need 1 escape)

NCAA's with.
I like this one. You could still give the extra point for a 15pt margin and backs, but not until the match is complete. I think that this would lead to more falls, as you'd see guys work to secure the 15pt margin and then just start working the guy on the mat to get the fall. Another option would be to allow the leading wrestler to choose if he wanted the match to continue. He puts himself in jeopardy, since if he gets Rohn'ed he could lose, but he can also work for the fall and the extra team point.

I like this one too. If they don't want to DQ people for stalling, then at least punish the staller with 2pts with the 4th call.

Round of 12
Re: Is this a stupid rule!
At a certain point you have to just feel bad for a guy. Say the guy Mike Sheets beat 29-2? I'm assuming he spent about 5 minutes flat on his stomach and instead of getting close to Rob Rohning him, just hurt the entire time.

This. I've always thought the tech fall is more of a mercy rule than anything. No one wants to lose 30-3 or whatever.

I disagree, losing 30-3 shows more heart than allowing yourself to be pinned, or shutting down and basically letting a guy rack up that last takedown or two to get the tech. You lose 30-3 and you were fighting off of your back for most of the match. To keep fighting shows heart and pride.
