I think Yohn can take Evans and that Gophers win 1 of the first three other that I kind of agree with WWCFAN.

Looks about right. Wouldn't surprise me if Kelly beats Ness however. No slight on Ness just think Kelly is looking better.

Kelly is looking better based on what?

    1) Kelly lost to Freidley who Molinaro beat 10-0. Then Kelly lost to Tessari decisively. Doesn't sound a record that would make any confident that he had a chance to beat Ness.

    2) I watched a post dual video interview with Tom Brands who talked about the Hawkeyes not adjusting to the attacks of the opponents & stopping them so the wrestler could get on with his game plan. Based upon Kelly's previous results & then what he did against Frank, it sounds like he listened to his coaches & stepped it up a notch.

    3) And considering that the 1st time Molinaro wrestled Ness he gave up two TDs & the next time he wrestled him he gave up NONE I would say the fact that Kelly got only the 3rd TD Frank has given up this year would tell me that Kelly has gotten better just in the past week.

    4) Also more than any other place CHA is like having a 11th & 12th wrestler on your team, (as well as your own ref). I can see that some Hawkeye magic might come into play here help give Kelly the upset win over Ness.

That's the response I suspected Minny fans to give. With all the success Iowa has had over the years, there's a big bulls-eye target on them. I'm curious about Iowa fans--would they say Minny or long-time rival OSU, or the defending nat'l champs?

Wow--you have Marion MD over Dardenes. That would really surprise me!

    125-McD WBD(DONT STOP, BE LIEVIN)
    133-Ramos WBD
    141-Marion WBD
149-Kelly WBD(Catches Dylan with his slop)
    157-Moore WBD
    165-Evans WBD
    174-EL WBD
    184-Steinhaus WMD
    197-Yohn WBD
    285-Nelson WBD

I just can't see the hawks stringing together that many bad performances in a row. Ness is super talented but if he tries some of his crazy crap with Kelly, he could be fundamental enough to catch him. That's clearly an upset though. I'm picking McD based on the fact that he's got to turn it around at some point. I am truly concerned about how he can win this match without really doing a 180. Ramos and Marion have tough matches but they should win.

I have no idea how to gauge Ortiz v. Moore other than two great HS wrestlers who don't seem to have many collegiate offerings at this point.

Regarding Evans v. Yohn, they have had pretty comparable losses(save the head scratcher with Garcia) Evans will be due big time and I think he has a good match.

Another match where I'm not very convinced who will win, I went with experience(and coincidentally the hawkeye).

GG is showing more life at 97, he wont get bonused, I think the match will actually be close.

I hope we see Telford against Nelson. Telford should be a man on a mission. Hawks have a nice dual and get the entire hawkeye report message board off the ledge.

I'm really pulling for Zach Sanders this weekend but I still doubt that he'll beat McDonough. Matt hasn't been losing (of course, neither has Zach) but I think that of all the Hawks, 125 is the most likely lock. Right? I'm not sure I see what you guys are saying about McD not doing so well. Of course, I only see what I see on BTN and Flow Wrestling.
