  1. #1

    Default Big XII (Askren)

Askren loses by major decision to Brester 15-4? Ouch, sorry Trusty.

    Two more interesting results:

    Erisman MD Sanderson
    Lane DEC Rosholt (!!!)
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

One, two, Evans is coming for you...

JMO, but Sanderson is undergoing what the big 10 149 lbers face -why ? Wrestle your ass off and work so hard when there exists an immovable object -in his case Burroughs .

That may let Todd steal the #1 seed assuming he beats Herbst tomorrow. Varner has beaten everyone else, so chances are he won't fall below #2

Interesting and then you would have to assume he could draw #3 Brester again at NCAA's before getting on the mat with Todd potentially in the finals. All that being said, there is still a ton of wrestling yet to go.

Did anyone watch the finals? I can't believe Brester didn't try 1 offensive move and didn't get hit for stalling. Varner was trying throw-bys, ankle picks, even a couple true shots. The closest thing to an offensive move Brester did was trying to touch Varner's leg with 2 seconds left in the first. Didn't even touch the leg, just swiped at it. Brester made Varner look like Metcalf. Whatever, I still like Varner on a neutral mat.
