Kerry Volkmann begins his 21st season at the head of John Carroll wrestling in 2007-2008. This year’s team returns 9 starters from last year’s team that went 6-0 in conference competition, finishing 3rd in the OAC tournament. Three time Ohio state finalist Adam Kriwinsky transfers in from American University, coming back to the Cleveland area where he wrestled for University School. All-American Ryan Summers graduates, but qualifier Adam Pizzuro returns at 133. Among the freshman is Kyle Gardella, brother of 2007 Midwest Regional runner-up Drew Gardella of Case.
