1st period mostly just handfighting so far, no shots that I've noticed. White hits a hard snap to a go behind and drives him foward for a takedown. Minnesota's kid nearly gets a reversal on the edge of the mat but has to settle for an escape. Period ends 2-1

A 6-5 loss to Parks is nothing to be ashamed of.

I guess my thought with Deitchler is that he needs as much mat experience as he can get. The fact that he didn't hit the mat for North Dakota State last week and is not in there today against an opponent he could beat in a pretty important dual in my opinion means to me that his concussion is back. I can't think of anything else it could be. If its his concussion then he isn't coming back in my opinion. I guess its possible that Ortiz is beating him in the wrestling room but that would imply that Ortiz is wrestling like many of us thought he COULD when he was recruited.

White gets an easy escape to start the 2nd. The radio guys are mostly spending their time complaining about the scoreboard guys. They are still basically hanging on each other's necks with no shots. Period ends 3-1, next to no action, looks like a high school heavyweight match

Finally some action, Ortiz gets a quick escape but White responds with a takedown, lets him back up. White is up 5-3, back to HWT handfighting. White does alittle backwards skip back to the middle, doesn't seem too worried. White gets a 2nd stall call after a first I apparantlly missed. White wins 5-4

    12-3

That had to be a frustrating match to watch. Interesting that Ortiz has generally been up to 165 for Minnesota the last two seasons out of need, I think he even threw a match or two in at 174 for the Gophers before. Sounds like this will be his new weight.

Yohn and Bailey get things going with some hand fighting and shots. Bailey isn't sitting back for this one. My dad just made fun of me asking if I'm cheering for Yohn cause he's on my fantasy team. Bailey is actually pushing the action here, period ends 0-0.

Thanks for the updates Falcon. Avalos is going to have to keep his to a decision and Yohn has to win this if Gophers are going to stand ANY chance of taking this to the 125 match for the dual.

Bailey tries to hit a granby, gets caught on his back for a 5 count. Tries another granby, gets another count. Finally gets on to his feet, down 6-1. Yohn gets a takedown, and we go from 0-0 to 8-1 in the spand of maybe a minute. I will punch the wall if my video feed cuts out again. Yohn almost turns Bailey again before time runs out, Yohn has riding time.

Bailey tries to lock up a bannana split to no avail, Yohn gets up and now leads 9-1. Bailey tries a sloppy inside trip and gets taken down, 11-1. Bailey is upset and looks alittle gassed as he tries desperately to score. Yohn locks up a cradle, but Bailey fights it off. Yohn gets a 2-on-1 but times runs out before he can get the turn. Yohn wins 12-1

    Oklahoma State 12-7
