I think their might be as many Ohio boys in this dual as there is in an Ohio State vs Kent state dual.

    What a dual!!!

The better team won. VT was way more offensive, always looking to score. UVA was almost across the board looking for counters only. When VT is 100% healthy they will smash UVA imo.

I was impressed with Mitch and think he blows that match wide open come ACC's.

It seems like we may have been a little too high on Nick Sulzer.

He hasn't blown the doors off opponents before today, and then today Yates made him look bad.

    Anyone have the box score?

Sulzer was essential even with Demas in high school and probably still is. Ty Mitch has always excelled on his feet. That how he beats a Megaludis in freestyle but would struggle against him in folk. He must must MUST improve on the mat.

seems like a pretty pressure packed situation to stick Hayes in-where was Papa ? Or Salopek ?

The Mitch match didn't really come down to mat wrestling. It came down to the fact that Mitch can't finish a shot. He must've had at least 6 deep shots where he stuck his head between the other guy's legs and failed to finish. After 1 or 2, why not keep your head from coming out the back? He just kept trying the same thing. It got kinda dumb b/c he was DEEP on every shot he took.

I viewed the Mitch match very differently. Snyder wrestled pretty weak sauce in my opinion, not one shot(ironically Mitch got hit for stalling two times on bottom) taken the entire time, all counter all the time. Mitch finished a few of those shots from that position that you're describing, so it's not that bad of a strategy.

Papa was on crutches with a big brace around his knee and salopek is still injured.

I wasn't suggesting that Snyder wrestled well at all. That's why I think Mitch could've finished many more shots than he did. Snyder was just getting that crotch grab (or whatever you call it) and forcing stalemates. Mitch knew that, but kept putting himself there. It frustrated me b/c I thought he should've won by at least 5-6 points and yet he ended up losing. I agree with your original assesment that he should blow that match up in the ACC's, but only if he quits getting in that same position.
