    Wrestling Drops Two at Chattanooga
    Amuchastegui and Mango remain undefeated on the season.

    CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. ? The Stanford wrestling team dropped two duals on the road, Sunday, against Central Michigan (22-13) and Chattanooga (22-15). The Cardinal falls to 4-3 overall, while the Chippewas move to 1-0 overall and the Mocs improve to 2-1.

    Senior Nick Amuchastegui and junior Ryan Mango both secured two wins to remain undefeated on the season at 7-0. Amuchastegui now has 101 career victories, becoming just the seventh Cardinal wrestler to reach the 100-win plateau.

    Against Central Michigan, Mango, who is ranked sixth nationally at 133 pounds, registered the first Cardinal points with his second fall of the season. He pinned Tyler Keselring in 3:48. After Stanford dropped the next four bouts, Amuchastegui, who is the top-ranked wrestler at 174 pounds, recorded a 10-2 major decision over Anthony Brill. Sophomore Alan Yen posted the final Cardinal points of the dual with an 8-6 decision over Chad Friend at 197 pounds.

    Stanford picked up four wins in its dual against Chattanooga. Mango tallied his fifth major decision win of the year, defeating Nick Soto 14-6 at 133 pounds. Amuchastegui also secured a second victory on the day with a 17-2 technical fall over Josh Condon in 7:00. Junior Spence Patrick recoded a 6-2 decision over Robert Prigmore at 184 pounds. It marked the fifth win of the season for Patrick. Concluding the Stanford scoring was sophomore Dan Scherer at heavyweight. He posted a 2-0 decision over Kevin Malone to pick up his fifth win of the year.

    The Cardinal returns to The Farm next Sunday, Nov. 27 to play host to No. 11 Missouri. Stanford will take on the Tigers at 12 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion.

    That must kill the Stanford A.D. to see his squad lose to CMU and Chattanooga if he doesn't understand the hierarchy of Div. 1 College Wrestling.

    Something makes me think that Bob Bowlsby knows a thing or two about the hierarchy of D1 wrestling.
