Last year the Top 5 in MD @ 149 were
    1) LeValley 13
    2) Tank, Nadhir & Dake 11
    5) Green 10

Tank has improved as well so we will see...

Interesting to read all the predictions. If I were betting looking at upset specials based on picks, I would pick:

Megaludis over Sanders--no one picked him. All agree that Sanders is clearly favored (me as well), but with no one picking Nico, he would be a good potentiual upset special.

McIntosh over Yonn--again no one picked him and I think MM has an even better shot than Megaludis

Steinhaus over Wright--only one person picked Steinhaus I believe. In light of the fact that Steinhaus majored him last year in the dual, that could be a good upset special. It is true that Wright has beaten him 3 times since then (one of the them freestyle).

Sherlock over Dardanes--both of them are RS freshmen. In HS rankings Sherlock was ranked higher than Dardanes before his season-ending injury. I picked Dardanes as well, but with so many picking Dardanes, Sherlock might be a good upset special as well.

Not much doubt who will win 133, 149 (sorry-but I don't see Ness as having a shot at it), 165, 174.

I think it will come down to heavyweight and either of them could win (they've traded wins in the past, with Wade winning the last one at the NCAA's). Should be a great meet!

Not against top tier wrestlers though, which by all accounts Ness is.

Not entriely true. He has had 4 MDs alone vs AA Gillespie & another vs Top 10 Schmitt. He also had one each at the B1Gs & NCAAs. Vs Ness, we will see.

DO you have your avatar rotating daily now Russ? Why does the IU Student Union Building look like it was kidnapped out of the Rhine Valley or outside of Dubrovnik? Are you in the Clock Tower with a Sniper Rifle picking off pedos?

    I'll give it a shot

125: Sanders dec Megaludis 3-0 Minnesota
133: Thorn Mdec Reber 7-0 Minnesota
141: Dardanes dec Sherlock 10-0 Minnesota
149: Molinaro dec Ness 10-3 Minnesota
157: Alton dec Deitchler 10-6 Minnesota
165: Taylor Mdec Yohn 10-10 Tied
174: Ruth Pins Young 10-16 Penn St
184: Wright dec Steinhaus 10-19 Penn St
197: Yohn dec McIntosh 13-19 Penn St
285: Nelson dec Wade 16-19 Penn St

This should be a very close match! 141, 157, 184, and 285 could go either way. 125, 149, and 197 are the weights were I could see some upsets.

southern Indiana looks an awful like Germany in the fall .Rolling hills and the university was built surrounded by a forest . Used all the local Granite -CUTTERs-local quarry workers built everything . Beautiful campus.
