a little surprised by the 125 score. In highschool not many people scored on Beckman. I understand that Zanetta is solid but I didn't think he would beat Beckman by that much. Not always easy to transition into college

I was surprised by that too. I didn't expect Beckman to win, but I definitely thought he would keep it close.

Where was Salupo from Lehigh at 149 today?

Back from the match. Great opener for the season for me. Close match, some surprises. Dutton being out was partially outweighed by both Thomasetts (sp?) missing the dual. Pitt winning seemed a fair result - they wrestled more aggressively overall and seemed to be in better shape as a team.

Zanetta was much, much stronger on his feet.

Up until hwt, there were no back points scored in the entire dual. I guess since Rey had a quick pin, zero backpoints on the night and only two bonus point matches. Pitt should have had a couple but seemed to mismanage their bouts (125 and 133). Hatchett started strong and then ... Nauman very unimpressive, but did just enough to win. Three bouts went down to final second scrambles for the win and one (125) was a last-second scramble to avoid the major.

Wasn't there a rather heated discussion recently about the outcome of this dual?

    Nice win by Pitt

Salupo can't be too dinged up because he wrestled in the East Stroudsburg Open yesterday--got beat 8-2 by A Alton in the finals.
