    Default Help-I am an idiot

During Steiber and Cashe's finals at EMU , Steiber was awarded a TD and Cashe pulled up lame . When wrestling restarted after the injury time out Cashe was on top ? The commentator mentioned a rules change ?? What am I missing ? If you use an injury time out are you awarded top position ?
Also , The spiral ride steiber used was way different than what I coached . He had his off hand under and across Cashes throat. Every time he went to tilt Cashe it seemed to become a mini throw-is this legal ? It looked a lot like a choke .
    Please remember i am retarded

I don't follow all the rule changes from year to year, but does Steiber get to chose whatever position he wants to restart in because of Cashe's TO?

And the spiral he used was a claw ride to a tilt, it is taught here. It isn't a choke it just puts a lot of torque on the neck, I am guessing it is big an Ohio cause all the Ohio guys in the room try to hit it

Thanks-I saw Steiber awarded a TD then start down w/o asking the ref anything . Kinda seemed a little strange . Also, anyone watch that Spiral ride ?

That spiral has become pretty common, at least in Ohio HS. David Taylor uses it too. I'm not sure when it started or who teaches it, but I see it all the time in HS tournaments around here.

i taught the spiral forever -20 years ago yet the off hand was under the near shoulder or looking for a half-this one Steiber is cranking on Cashe's neck pretty hard .

The way you taught it is the way I learned it. But I see it done with the off hand across the neck all the time these days. My nephew does it that way. Like I said, not sure when it started. But next time you watch DT wrestle, watch for it. He is lethal with it.
