    Iowa State:

Harold Nichols, Dan Gable, Glen Brand or Ben Peterson, Cael Sanderson

Really tough to say. Lots of successful multi-time champs and guys with international credentials, but that's my gut response there.

I agree. I feel like, with some more international success, Jake Varner could deserve consideration as well.

Mount Rushmore of wrestlers born in Iowa

Frank Gotch, Glen Brand, Harold Nichols, Dan Gable.

These guys were all pioneers of the sport in their own way and would probably be the men mostly responsible for popularizing the sport of wrestling in Iowa.

Cornell- Dave Aubel, Travis Lee, Troy Nickerson, Kyle Dake. Rob Koll belongs on here, but not sure who I'd take off in his place (Nickerson is only one with one title, but his status as a NY prep legend earns him a spot I think.)

I think you've got to go Ness in that last spot based off the strength of his final season.

Gagne was a 2X NCAA champ and a member of the Olympic team. He was a pioneer of wrestling in Minnesota.
