I've missed the last few years so there was no way I was missing this year, no matter what. I might be dining on bread and water while I'm out there but I'm going.

Recession? I'm going to St Louis with no worries about the economy
I'm going, but I'm trying to economize where I can
I had hoped to go, but can't because of the recession
I had no plans to go, for reasons other than the recession
Is the recession affecting your plans to attend the 2009 NCAAs?
Because of the bad economy, perhaps you've decided not to go. Or, you're economizing -- staying in a lower-priced hotel, or driving instead of flying. Or... maybe the recession isn't affecting your plans at all.
Weigh in here with your poll vote... and your comments on your situation here.
Thanks

Not changing my plans whatsoever. Until my boys are old enough to go, my wife doesn't let me out of the house alone.
I got nothin'...
It is tougher for sure but not changing plans. Staying 4 blocks away and probably be on a liquid diet the entire weekend. Going with 6 or 8 guys so splitting gas and rooms not too bad. Ticket was bought and paid right after last years tourney. I figure as long as it is in the midwest I am there. Detroit was far enough for me driving but St. Louis is a not bad at all. Next year for sure again but after that.....who knows.
Will be there and I won't be changing any plans or spending habits. It's really the only consistent vaction I take so I intend to live it up as always.
driving with another guy rather than flying. Splitting cost of room as before. Won't be there for entire meet; we will get there the aft of Friday after driving about 10 hours and leave early am sunday
The Art of living is more like wrestling than dancing.
wont be too effective imo, people still need wrestling no matter what the economy is like
I was planning on going again this year but after finally being responsible and getting my finances under control I realize that I cant afford it this year. Really I couldnt afford it the past three years but went anyway. On the flip side, I'm no longer affraid to answer my phone!
So it's really not the economies fault as much as it is my own damn fault.
Is it me or does anyone think this economy thing is more about "The Sky is Falling" sending everyone into a fit about money this, money that. Squeeze at the top for S&G's and then you get everyone else complaining about the economy.
I do "alright" with my life, but the "economy" is the #1 reason people aren't helping my particular position with advertising/fundraising. People aren't traveling, thus aren't going to camps, thus aren't going to make the funds to potentially donate. Why? What's caused it? Someone downsizes and boom, we're all screwed?
I guess I just don't get economics. Gas prices dropped, but airfares went up. Hrm.
