Just got back from the meet, the first half was great, the second half not so much. Interesting note, David Taylor was in attendance.
165: Not much to say, I missed Reader throwing the headlock.
174: Burk got in on a couple shots in the first and couldn't convert, then couldn't get out on the bottom. Over halfway through the season and Burk is still an enigma.
184: Best match of the day by far. Ward got tossed to his back, I thought he was gonna get stuck. Hill backed up the whole match, Ward got 2 stall points in the second. Hill was absolutely gassed, Ward got 2 TDs in the third to win. I can't understand why Hill was so tired, he didn't do anything the whole match. Crowd was really into it after that.
197: Varner totally dominated, he had the major locked up when he cut Foster in the third with about a minute left, and couldn't get another TD. Not sure why he cut him though.
285: Both guys got in on some shots in regulation and couldn't finish. In OT, there was a great scramble and Rosholt ended up behind Zabriskie, I was sure he was going to get the takedown, but Zabriskie did kind of a somersault like Cyler does a lot, ended up nearly out of bounds and finally got the takedown. Most action I'd seen in a heavyweight match in a long time, those 30 seconds.
125: Clark just could not get through Blanc's defense, and Blanc hit good reshots to score his takedowns. Tough weekend for Clark.
133: They announced that Trevor Deardon would be wrestling, but ended up forfeiting, not sure why.
141: Getting a little slappy in the first, and Parks kind of hit Gallick, and Gallick just grabbed his hands and hit a sweet throw-by for a takedown. Gallick proceeded to ride Parks for the rest of the 1st and 3rd periods.
149: Mueller was just not getting his shots finished, but in the 3rd, got a reversal then a takedown from a front headlock. Maybe he should be working on that some more.
157: Sanderson didn't look too sharp, but got his takedowns and got the job done.
You do the math..... I'll do the alfredo!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
