I know he was going to go to Iowa State at one point, but where has he been since then?

Not sure but I thought he was at Illinois. Good to see him back in Ohio.

Grand exodus of Ohio boys at Illinois minus the rumored transfer of Tucker Armstrong with Perry. Sam White rumored to be at Ohio University and now Clark to Kent, really improves the caliber of guys in the MAC the nations 4th toughest conference (B-10,EIWA,Big 3 or 12 I mean and then MAC)

The MAC has been overlooked by the nation until the last few years - perhaps Kilgore wining the title at 197 will boost their national recognition !
You know, I think I would rather be a man than a god . We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.

I hope so. In a sad story that could be made into a Barbara Streisand song (lol) I walked on to Miami of Ohio. Practiced with the team, got beat up, never got into a match or even considered for one. Thought taking my lumps would work out one day, at least that's what my dad said. The next year, the program was dropped. We need the entire MAC to get back into wrestling.

Thats a bummer of a story Brother Quinn, mainly because your Dad was right. I tell the kids at my son's school the same story. Alot of them feel like they can't go out for wrestling in college, even though they love the sport, because they aren't a state champ (or National Prep champ in their case). I tell them about how many guys I have seen who were unknown or overlooked in HS who go to a college program and rise to the level of their team and compitition by busting their butts, and taking their lumps but sticking with it. The one thing my pep talks and your dad's wise advice can't account for is liver-lillied administrators cutting programs. Even the hardest workers can't prevent that, unless they transfer. Stinks.
