    Default Brodie Ambrose

A Hawk fan talked to him last night and he said he is weighing 230 now and down from 240. Brodie said he is working hard and has every intention on making weight at 197.33.

As I said on Hawkeye Report, this doesn't really instill much confidence. The guy has known for how long that Byers wasn't coming and he's only dropped 10 pounds(the easiest 10 he'll drop) I'm not seeing it. He'd probably be an upgrade over Wagner, but I don't think hawk fans should get to excited about Brodie making the drop.

I usually try not to disagree with you because you have an annoying habit of being right, however in this case I see a sleeper.
2009-10 -- posted a 10-0 record at 197 pounds while competing unattached... won titles at York College Open, Grand View Open and Duhawk Open... pinned three opponents and posted two major decisions, two-time freestyle state champion, winning 2007 Western Regional title... placed second at 2007 Fargo Junior Nationals...

In fact I'm going to name him as my breakthrough wrestler this year. Remember you heard it here first.

Haha, alright. I hope you are right. I don't question his ability to perform or his pedigree. It's the idea of performing at weight that concerns me.

Yep, I have to admit it's a lot to cut.

Those are some pretty tough tournaments for a guy that wrestles for the best team in the country. I mean, Grandview has had a team for just about three years now.

Ambrose would rather eat than wrestle. If he wanted to wrestle, "that much", he wouldn't weigh, "that much".

    Possibly true.

Though I know nothing about Ambrose I have to agree. Don't some wrestlers lose 10lbs in one day/workout?
