I've always heard his motor was great, but in the matches I've seen I didn't really see that relentless attack like Spons or Metcalf had. In tough matches he's seemed to be a 1-2 TD guy and use his defense and riding to ice the win.

Perhaps the more apt comparison is someone like Andrew Howe who keeps a very physical and high pace, but doesn't attack constantly like Sponseller or Metcalf. If he can be half as successful as Howe was as a true freshman, then Penn St will be happy.

Since I've may way too many posts about NIU today so why not one more - Brad Dieckhaus of NIU deserves somewhere in the top33 at 184. Won the MAC, won a match at nationals and was actually up something like 5-0 or 6-0 of Steinhaus of Minnesota before losing 10-7 in his 2nd consi match. Not a worldbeater, but did enough at the end of the year to crack the top33 I would think...

Definitely missed that match with Steinhaus. Impressive. You are probably right.

We are still 10-11 weeks out. The PSU line up has many Questions.

Nico will RS when Gulibon come in. Martelotti is still not declared academically eligible. Sherlock ran into the law 2xs over the summer. Alton might be still an option at 141 & so might Reber (or 133). So might Frey. 157 will have 4 strong guys battling it out if not more. MM WILL BE in the wrestle off this fall. If he wins he starts.

Out of 330 wrestlers I think Gregg did a very good job for late August.
