That's what I said before the finals at 157 last year.

My Dad used to tell me not to let school get in the way of my education. He didnt know how much that would backfire when I never went to class at college(s).

I'm not totally sure about 133/141 for PSU. I could've missed a guy or two. This appears to be the lineups as they stand right now. A lot of weights still up in the air for both teams. If this is how it plays out I could see Iowa taking 125, 133, 141, 157 and HWT. PSU gets 149, 165 and 184. 174, 197 and HWT are all toss ups at this point IMO. If Ambrose can get down and be as good as he is capable of, 197 is a toss. If its Wagner or Lira I would give it to PSU. 285 has got to be a PSU lean since Wade beat Raising by a point but I think Telford will end up with the spot. 174 is going to be a great match.
Once the real lineups come out in several months we're start this all over. But it's fun to think about it now when there's no wrestling going on. Herkey--I see you have Hwt both as favoring Iowa and a toss-up! Here's my predictions now (since it will all change later anyway):

    PSU-Iowa
    125--McD major 0-4
    133--Ramos major 0-8
    141--Marion major 0-12
    149--Molinaro major 4-12
    157--St John dec 4-15
    165--Taylor-TF 9-15
    174--Ruth dec 12-15
    184--Wright dec 15-15
    197--McIntosh 18-15
Hwt--Telford 18-18 Not sure if Wade will be fully back from his injury at NCAA's by then.

I see 197 & Hwt being almost toss-ups at this point and 174-184 could go either way but I see Ruth & Wright being the favorites there.

Anybody care to give a shot at Iowa-Ok St?

Actually I said I can see Iowa taking HWT, but I'm calling it a toss up but technically PSU is favored because Wade beat Raising by a point last year.

I think I covered all the bases.

I don't see him any lower this year and he has obvious finalist potential. In fact, his biggest obstacle will probably be the guy I just mentioned.

Everyone wants to poke holes in PSU but they really have four guys that can win it all--Taylor, Ruth, Wright and Molinaro. What's working against them is Cael training for the Olympics and just the unlikelihood that all will go well for all four throughout the season esp. injuries.

PSU 20, Iowa 19. If Marion can bonus, and we flip the coin on either 74,84, and 285 it will be in the hawks favor. We don't really know what Mcintosh is yet and if Ambrose gets down it's possible he can challenge.

I'm not sure how the hawks snag this dual win but i feel confident they will.
    Not happening...

With Andrew Long gone it sounds like a mathematical possibility but I am still not so sure that we will see that reality occurring this year.

Thirsty you say? Sounds like beer to me. I will lay a case of winners choice on it. Within reason. Nothing too outrageous. Gotta be something easily found.
