Washington police said Ruth was trying to get into the bar but was told by an employee it was closed. The employee told police he asked Ruth to leave, but Ruth flipped the employee onto his back and punched him, police said.
When police arrived, they found another employee restraining Ruth. Ruth resisted arrest, ?flailing both his arms and attempted to run away from the officers,? police wrote in the charging document.
Police said they told him to stop resisting, but he continued until he was eventually taken to the ground by two officers and handcuffed.
That doesn't sound quite as bad as Brands getting out of his matside chair jumping up and yelling and the ref, but it's almost as bad.
So, do you think that Meguludis will be wrestling to win or just not get pinned? I think a person gets pinned more often when they are trying to win instead of just keeping it close. The Precin pin is one example. I admit that any pin is hard to come by in college and even harder if the opponent is just trying to survive. I am hoping Meguludis is just as caught up in the hype as his fans and really goes for the win. If so, it will be interesting.
Good point. No, I'm sure that Megaludis will be going for a win and not just trying not to get pinned--so that would make a fall more likely (Russell's fall over Kennedy would also be an example of that). But, it's still pretty unlikely IMHO.
So, on KR's recommendation I bought a 750 ml of Duvel tonight on the way home. Very, very good beer. Probably not the best I've ever had, but definitely in the top 3 or 4. Nothing beats a Guinness though.
Coming from me, someone who had very little control over alcoholic tendencies in my younger days, that's a big statement. If you can get your hands on it, be sure to try it. It's kind of similar to Guinness in that you get a lot of head. Which is a good thing, no matter the occasion.
I have a gut feeling that I will be getting my hands on some this coming March. But out of sheer curiosity, I may try to find a bottle in the near future.
