Would Wisconsin need to release him? Or does taking an ORS year allow someone a free transfer afterward (maybe Mocco did that??)?

Placed third behind JB and Caldwell.
So then you don't think that Howe can win two more titles? That would be pretty impressive though if he could be a 5 x AA, 4x Finalist and only have 2 NCAA losses.

I don't think Pritz & Barry Davis will be going to Arbys any time soon...

I don't see it happening. I think it wouldn't bode well 4 AH to do that. Outside of DP he has built his whole life in Madison. I think he does a ORS & then sticks it out @ Sconny.

Huh? Pritz is Howe's main training partner and Howe has explicitly credited him, not Davis, with much of his success. Who is going to push Howe in that room now? Exactly. It makes much more sense for his career to follow Howe, no offense to the Badgers, who I hope can recover from the apparently lost recruiting class and the loss of dynamite assistants.

Zapp, I agree with what you are saying about Howe, however I don't think they have officially lost the recruiting class yet. I read somewhere that Caldwell is still planning on going to Wisconsin and McCauley and Theilke are still verbally committed to going there as well. All that could change but I think it's just internet rumor at this point. I could be wrong.

I would love for Caldwell to switch and head to UNI.

I know all that. Just my gut feeling thats all. Sometimes what might make a lot of analytical sense is overriden but something else.

I understand that, but what is going to override it in this scenario? All interviews with Howe seem to indicate Howe has a personal relationship/friendship with Howe beyond a coach, whereas he's never said anything to my knowledge to lead us to believe he has any kind of personal connection to Barry Davis.
