In claiming DT was over-rated it matters in that I would bet that if there was a re-match DT would not make the same mistake again & would win.

I find it shocking that you would pick the star wrestler on your favorite team to win in a rematch. They can give Taylor and Metcalf the "All Their Fans Think They Would Win the Rematch from Their NCAA Finals Loss" Championship. The match happened. That's it. There was no evidence in that match to suggest Taylor would definitely win a rematch. None.

Fantastic and appropriate use of comic sans.

Hilarious reference, and a decent bet as NCAA's will be over before the NBA Finals next year, and none of Taylor's best potential opponents look like they'll be competing at 165 next year (Howe, Dake, and Caldwell).

Just that the combination of him and Cody Sanderson < Clark or Gilman and Terry Brands. Nice pickup for PSU though.
That is a very ignorant and baseless statement, and only fits your MO as a PSU haterade drinker. Clark and Gilman are solid wrestlers and I'm sure that Tom and Terry are going to coach them to successes. But looking at Clark, Gilman, and Gullibon, Jimmy has the most talent of the three. (If you ever watched a match of his and ignored the fact that he's a...gulp...PA kid, you'd agree) Cael and Cody will only make Jimmy that much better. Jimmy in his freshman year will be better than Brad Pataky ever was. And for PSU wrestling, this squad is going to be solid from top to bottom in two years. They'll need to be solid in every weight class to compete with the likes of OSU, Minn, and Iowa who are also putting together monster squads.

Actually, this is a very ignorant and baseless statement. I clearly backed my statement up with facts about Terry's coaching credentials. All you did was blanketly state that Jimmy has the most talent between him, Clark and Gilman. Which is YOUR OPINION and totally debateable. It is also ONLY AN OPINION that Jimmy will be better his freshman year than Pataky ever was. That may never be true.

The only thing debateable in my post was that Clark/Gilman and Terry Brands > Gulibon and Cody Sanderson. Based on Terry's results as a coach, I'll stand by that and I think most everyone would agree.

So, in review, everything I said is based on results and everything you said is based on ignorance which is what you were accusing me of.

Last I checked, this is a recruiting/commitment topic; since you already have Team Brands, that part doesn't matter any more. The real question is, would you rather have Clark, Gilman, or Gulibon?

I would take any one of them teamed up with Terry Brands. I think it doesnt matter which one or two come to Iowa. I think they are all very good. I think that there is no better place in the country for a lightweight wrestler to go than Iowa and I think results prove that. Gulibon would've been a great Hawkeye just like Clark and Gilman will be if they chose Iowa City. I don't think Gulibon will be as good at Penn St as he could've been at Iowa because the lightweight coach there pales in comparison. (that's not a knock on Cody, most people pale in comparison)
