Theres a thread about this over on TheMat about the debate between Okie State, Minnesota, and Iowa as prospective teams of the decade.
The decade quite obviously isn't over yet but I thought it would be interesting to actually tally things up to see how these teams fall as well as what teams would (assumingly) complete the top 5.
I gave 10 points for a team championship, 9 for a runner up, and so on all the way down to 1 point for finishing 10th. Finishing outside the top 10 gets no points. I also gave 5 points for a National Duals championship, and 2 points for an individual champion.
1. Oklahoma State: 113
2. Minnesota: 102
3. Iowa: 83
4. Iowa State: 65
5. Oklahoma: 58
6. Michigan: 37
If you count a decade as 00-09 (which I do) then Iowa has a shot at leap frogging Minnesota this year to move into the #2 spot but it would seem that Oklahoma State has their #1 spot cemented.
