Legendary TCNJ wrestling coach Dave Icenhower to retire Sept 1

The College of New Jersey Athletics - Legendary TCNJ wrestling coach Icenhower to retire

"Ewing, NJ...After 35 seasons of guiding one of the most successful wrestling programs in the history of the sport, The College of New Jersey's David ?Ice? Icenhower is retiring.

Icenhower made the announcement official during the annual Lions' Wrestling Camp where he was surrounded by the current team as well as a number of alumni, who coach throughout the state and bring their high school teams to the camp run by their mentor."

Not mentioned in the article, but Dave was one of but a handful of DIII coaches to put a DIII champ on the D I podium, 190 lb'er Tom Martucci, 1981. (now head coach @ Bloomsburg)

Dave is a Lehigh wrestling product.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

Despite the terribly mangled spelling of an illustrious last name, Dave has had a wonderful career at Trenton State/College of NJ. Hats off to him!

I can remember enjoying watching Dave wrestle for Lehigh many years ago--a very good wrestler and even better coach!
