I am pretty sure around that time was when he suffered his first domestic freestyle loss in a long time. I am pretty sure the cowboys were banned from NCAA championship competation in 1993, I remember Pat Smith and a couple others took redshirts for that year. I could be off cause I was one when that happened. John also mentions he didn't consider himself a very good coach back then anyway, he was too selfish, which he says you have to be to win at the senior level.

Didn't OK St. win a few titles with some ineligible wrestlers?

Terry Brands is also wrestling again, and kicking ass. Lets bring him into the fold and discuss how this affects Iowa wrestling?
I'm sure Cael and Terry will not have issues maintaining thier personal and coaching schedules on track. Cary Kolat is also wrestling, albiet his role with UNC is smaller, will also have no issues.
But, on the good side, This US team is shaping up to be a real ass kicker. I can't wait for London!

Are you serious with that quote? If so, where? I haven't heard anything about it. If not, you got me.
