    The running is fine, but listen to VAIS. You want periodization in your workout plan. If you are doing roughly the same thing each week, you shoudl rotate your program roughly every 8 weeks (6-12 is the usual range). Even a great plan leads to a plateau without a change in stimulus to the muscle. NO will not overcome this. You might be able to do a little more in a workout (though little actual evidence for this), but you need to do better, not just more of the same.

    You need something to create more density in the muscle tissue & also you need to change your work out routine.

    The density you can do with protein dense foods like Blue-Green algae & other foods high in protein but at the bottom of the food chain.

    As far as mixing up your work out, try doing different routines every 2-3 months. Also the bench press is a nice work out but not as practical as others for wrestlers.

    Ok . I used to think maybe I needed to take a break so that my muscles would grow but it felt like it just made things harder . I usually just lift low weights/high reps leading up to high weight/low reps ....Maybe I can just do a bunch of reps at a low weight and be able to go over my max . ?

    Spend more time on your max, or do what StrongLifts does and take 80% and do that for two workouts in the gym, then the next time add 5 - 10 pounds and work your way to up to your max and you should be able to get over your bump in the road.

    Make sure you check it out first, but I take Jack3d and it's the best pre-workout drink that i've taken. Beats No-Explode hands down. Energy through the roof, alters my mood, and it helps with appetite supression (for me anyway)

    The Best Workout Supplement & Athlete Training Community on the Web Is a very good website dedicated to improving functional strength for high school/college athletes. They also don't sell any supps that have NCAA banned substances, so you will be safe buying anything from their website.

    BC-that stuff has SUCRALOSE. I would not be eating anything with that nor recommending to anyone. The FDA & the company making it will tell that it is safe, yet if you look the recent history of artificial sweeteners you will see another story, like aspartame.

    Studies of aspartame in the peer reviewed medical literature were surveyed for funding source and study outcome. Of the 166 studies felt to have relevance for questions of human safety, 74 had aspartame industry related funding and 92 were independently funded.

    One hundred percent of the industry funded research attested to aspartame's safety, whereas 92% of the independently funded research identified a problem.

    Of the 7 studies which did not find a problems, 6 of those studies were conducted by the FDA. Given that a number of FDA officials went to work for the aspartame industry immediately following approval (including the former FDA Commissioner), many consider these studies to be equivalent to industry-sponsored research. Later it was proven that aspartame was very toxic for humans.

    Looking at the history of artificial sweeteners that the FDA has had, you should look at the history of sucralose:
    1) There have only been six human trials to date & ALL of them are manufacture-sponsored (none independent);
    2) The longest trial lasted three months (usual long term studies are 1-2 years);
    3) 15% of sucralose is not excreted from your body in a timely manner
    4) sucralose bears more chemical similarity to DDT than it does to sugar (it is an organic cholorcarbon a type of substance that has been banned from drinking water) as it was discovered by researchers looking for a new pesticide!
    5) it has been shown in a Duke University study that it lowers intestinal flora responsible for the immune system in lab animals;
    6) other lab animals studies show enlarged liver & kidneys, shrunken thymus glands & miscarriages to occur with sucralose use.

    This is something I have been on top of for for the last 15 years. Buyer beware....

    Most of the products on there have a lot of good stuff in them but also nearly everyone contains Sucralose & Artificial colors. To me that just shows me that those manufacturers don't care about your long term health just making a buck. Also nothing is organic either.
