Saw it on the TOM boards. Wonder if anyone else has heard similar. Too bad for Lehigh, seemed like he was going to be a good one.

Go Hawkeyes.
I'd read he was taking a RS year with Dutton but this is kind of a shock .
You know, I think I would rather be a man than a god . We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.
Who knows it could be BS. Just a poster on TOM.
Go Hawkeyes.
It is not BS. It has been rumored for some time and Santoro confirmed that he will be out next year because of academics in one of the local papers. Cagnina missed Midlands because of academics this year. Santoro also said Austin Meys may not wrestle next year. He had a neck injury in March and Santoro said in the article that he has a rare illness that may be part of it.
There aren't too many EIWA topics so I will add some Cornell news that isn't really new but hasn't been posted. Mike Grey took Matt Azevedo's spot as third assistant. No surprise there. He was a coach in training this season while he sat out.
I really like that Mike Thorn has been hired as one of Cornell's club coaches. There are a lot of young guys who will really benefit from his intensity and attitude. Mack is staying around too as a club coach and working on freestyle.

Wow. Two big hits for Lehigh very talented young guys not going to be in the lineup next year. They could have challenged for EIWA title imo. Don't foresee that now though.
Mike Thorn is a very interesting hire, was Hahn his connection there?
Go Hawkeyes.
Also, just read about that disease Meys has, Guillian-Barr Syndrome. Serious stuff, and it makes me wonder if it could be the end of his career.
Go Hawkeyes.
How many club coaches does Cornell have, and what is the function of the club team? Is this just an NWCA club team or is the roll bigger than that?
They've got Mitch Clark, Mack Lewnes, Mike Thorn? That's a pretty well-credentialed coaching staff for an NWCA team.
