Shane or Schlottke, two questions on the weighing of votes:

1. What are considered "correct" rankings, that my vote is being matched up against?
2. Does reputation or post count matter more? I'm 24th in post count, but fifth for reputation. Which matters more?

The ranking weights are all the same right now, once we get into the season, and get some results on the table people who rank guys who have more success will get more "weight" to their votes. That much I know.

I'm pretty sure, although Schlottke will have to clarify that post count and rep points weren't counted for this go round either.

So would you get more "rep" points by only voting on weight classes or wrestlers that you feel most knowledgable about?

I actual didn't vote for a few weight classes because I didn't know most of the wrestlers very well.

Any advice?

Rep points are kind of like the exalt/smite feature over here. Those with high rep are assumed to be good, and knowledgeable posters, in time as we still continue to play with how we're going to do this, and weight that those with high rep will probably get a little extra weight in their votes.

I'm talking to Schlottke right now, and he confirmed that in this go round, everyone had the same weight to their votes.

By the way, I posted these rankings in the college/international part of Illinois Matmen. Hopefully, we'll only get the people from that part of the forum, and not the yahoos who frequent the high school part. : )
