125- Troy Nickerson Cornell (2009)- I really think that Nickerson was the most complete out of the group, close call though
133- Coleman Scott Oklahoma State (2008)- Tough weight to decide so I went with the most well rounded again
141- Derek Moore UC Davis (2007)- Was a scoring machine in the finals

149- Darrion Caldwell NC St. (2009)- A healthy and well conditioned Caldwell takes it
157- J.P O'Connor Harvard (2010)- Had a really hard time deciding so I went with coolest name, and best degree

165- Mark Perry Iowa (2007 & 2008)- Was a two timer and phenomenal in all aspects, would have had a great game plan for Burroughs
174- Ben Askren Missouri (2007)- Super slick, I think him and Reader would be an amazing match
184- Jake Herbert Northwestern (2007 & 2009)- Toss up between him and Askren, settled on Herbert
197- Phil Davis Penn State (2008)- an absolute hammer on top, and a physical BEAST
Hwt- Cole Konrad Minnesota (2007)- no question here...

Then by your logic Brandon Slay would be considered superior to Buvasair Satiev.

[QUOTE=yoces51;396690]Last 5 years champions, who would win in a tournament...would have done more years but its getting late and I didn't want to do more research.

    125- Angel Escobedo Indiana (2008)
133- Jordan Oliver OK St (2011)
141- Kellen Russell Michigan (2011) (though it's tough to pick against Jaggers)
149- Darrion Caldwell NC St. (2009)
    157- Jordan Burroughs Nebraska (2009)
    165- jordan Burroughs Nebraska (2011)
    174-Ben Askren Missouri (2007)
    184-Jake Herbert Northwestern (2007 & 2009)
    197- Jake Varner IA St (2009 & 2010)
    Hwt-Cole Konrad Minnesota (2007)

Isn't this who would win in a tournament against each other rather than most impressive finals performance?

Right. And I'm of the opinion that someone who can get a tech in the finals might be an elite 141 and able to best some of the others.

Clearly he's an elite 141 (did I suggest otherwise?), but he's one of five choices and he's been picked two or three times. With competition like Jaggers I don't think it's an easy call. I would rank him above Dake and 2008 Jaggers, but don't see him beating 2009 Jaggers. Mitch Clark teched Vertus Jones in the first period, Cael only beat him 6-5, does that mean that Cael would lose to Clark? Freshman year he might, but even by his senior year he wouldn't have teched Vertus Jones in the first period while he certainly was at a higher level than Mitch Clark.

Assuming that they were not injured and at the top of their game:
125 Robles-too strong...........tilts are too good.......and noone could move him. A big guy wrestling little guys and the good big guy beats the good little guys.
133 Ness-Big heart, big tank, and unworldly half nelson.......I still think he stuck Dennis.
141 Jaggers-Who was better when it counted?
149 Caldwell-No brainer.....he destroyed the second best guy on the list twice
    157 Burroughs-Speed kills
165 Burroughs again-speed and power kills better
174 Askren-Gee, Herbert left and won a title above him and Perry left and won a title below him. That's pretty compelling. Do the right thing against him and you pay for it.
    184 Herbert-Lost only 4 times in 4 years and 3 were freshman year....a hammer.
    197 Davis-I take joy over power......sorry Varner.
285 Konrad-he and Mocco would destroy.....absolutely destroy these other guys. Rey must think wrestling in actual matches is a walk in the park
