Great tournament and lots of action in the finals this year, that is not always the case. Really tough watching the tournament at home this year, don't think I will be doing that again...its just too much fun to be there.

I wonder about the 184 bout for 3rd place. I was quite surprised that Gambrell beat Bosak, after Bosak totally dismanteled Honeycutt in the consy semifinals. But, the fact that LeBlanc didn't make weight gave Gambrell a forfeit, while Bosak had to wrestle a semifinal bout against Honeycutt. A little over an hour later Bosak had to go out again recovering while Gambrell was fresh. When a forf/def takes place in the consy's it gives a real advantage to the guy who doesn't have to wrestle about--since the turnaround time is so short.

LeBlanc didn't make weight?!? I was wondering why he forfeited, thought it was an injury.

One interesting note on Wright's (at one point's highly improbable) run to the national title. Apart from a default in the NLO in Dec, he had 5 losses on the season. Between the Big 10's and the NCAA's he avenged all 5 of them. At the Big 10's he beat Rutt, Delargo and Steinhart. At the NCAA's he beat Steinhart again, Gambrell and finally and Hamlin. Interesting that he met up with all of them again!
