My buddy Chop is usually right about this sort of thing, I'm in his corner on this.
Hawks come back next year with a vengeance!

Think of an emotional trauma that you would NOT like to experience THEN image getting a major physical injury on top of it & then try to go & wrestle. Thats what Q went thru this year. I would never call that mentally weak. I would call it getting back off the mat. And until you have gone thru personally which i hope people dont, you have no idea what it is like to stand in someone elses shoes. Until you have shared in the experience you can only guess.
It appears Q is the exact opposite of mentally weak. To be knocked down and practically out, getting up off the mat and then knocking everybody else off takes courage, strength and a great deal of mental toughness. In fact it's the hardest thing to do. To call him mentally weak is idiotic.
You all need to stay within the context of the topic. After QW lost to Steinhaus and Grant Gambrall I posted that I didn't think his shoulder was the problem it was his mental frame of mind. When QW was asked to discuss the ups and downs this year he basically said he wasn't mentally into the wrestling because he was mad at the coaches and so on. He said his team and community helped him get over the hump with not having fun wrestling anymore. I NEVER said QW was mentally weak at this tourny or any other tourny for that matter. I still stand by my opinion that he was mentally weak while wrestling Steinhaus and Gambrall. QW said it himself last night as well.
I'm assuming the suggestion that Quentin Wright is mentally weak was also said tongue in cheek. If anything, he just demonstrated incredible mental strength, great character and humility. No NCAA Div I champ is mentally weak, but if you want to find the weakest, I'll give you a hint... tatoos signal mental weakness to me. I always looked forward to wrestling guys with tatoos in high school, they were usually insecure with a lot of false bravado.
