Martelloti is no longer listed in the PSU search system - usually a sign that a student is no longer enrolled (though there are some other reasons, like confidentiality, but that's not likely here). Maybe he could take a semester to figure things out and then come back in the summer, maybe not. Maybe with Megaludis coming and grades being what they are, he heads to...Edinboro (everyone's home for second chances)

Molinaro moved up to from 141 at the start of last year, I don't think he's having any issue holding 149. He has been quoted as saying he has kept his weight very well controlled - and much better than he did freshman year. Plus- I don't see him being very successful at 157 - I don't think he would consider it.

No possibility of Dylan Alton at 141. He barely made it for wrestle-offs this year and looked awful. He very well could battle at 157 - I think with Vollrath (took 3rd at Southern Scuffle at 157, bumped to 165 for B10's and picked up a couple wins).

I heard that Martelotti was gone due to academics. I have no idea where you got that Molinaro ws at 141. That hasn't happened since his FS year & he wasn't doing great sucking that much weight despite the AA finish. I think Dylan sits behind Frank @ 149. He could compete for the 157 spot with English, Vollrath maybe Fischer or Kemerer, if he stays. Andrew Alton RS next year per the plan.

    Sooners
    125 Patterson
    133 Keller/Ekstrom/Brewer/Deshazer
    141 Maple
    149 M. Lester
    157 Nelson
    165 Caldwell
    174 Bridell/Balfour/Spangler
    184 Schmidtke
    197 Hall/Wheeler
    285 Elijah Madison

Hard to say because we could see a bunch of weight jumps from 149-174

When I said he moved up at the start of last year, I meant at the start of 2009-2010 season, as opposed to this year (2010-11). I think we're saying the same thing.

    American Eagles
    125- Arujau
    133- Tao/Williams
    141- Mariacher
    149- Sanjaa
    157- McCarty
    165- Graham
    174- P. Barreiro/Krakower
    184- T. Barreiro
    197- Mitchell
    HWT- Flores

Once again, not a great dual team but should send 6 or so to NCAAs with 3 AA's. Also, watch out for transfers from smaller schools coming here like Fittery, Flores, and Sanjaa all did.

No way Frank Molinaro is effective at 157, Dylan Alton will also have trouble with the length of some guys at 157.

Best case scenario for PSU would be having Molinaro or Dylan Alton take the offseason and really focus on their diet and losing the weight necessary to get to 141 for next year.

IMO BEST CASE SCENARIO LINEUP FOR PSU:

125: Frank Martellotti/Nico Megaludis (loser redshirts, I'll believe Martellotti is gone when he isn't listed on the roster next season)
    133: Andrew Long
    141: Frank Molinaro
    149: Dylan Alton
157: David Taylor (Maybe he stops growing)
165: Dirk Cowburn (Saw him wrestle numerous times. What an athlete, he will have an impact like the freshman this year if he's at 165)
174: Ed Ruth (Just seems like a perfect weight for him)
    184: Quentin Wright
    197: Andrew Campolattano (Wishful thinking)
    285: Cameron Wade

    Most likely:
    125: Nico Megaludis
    133: Andrew Long
    141: Sam Sherlock
    149: Frank Molinaro
    157: Dylan Alton/Jim Vollrath
    165: David Taylor
    174: Dirk Cowburn
    184: Ed Ruth
    197: Quentin Wright
    285: Cameron Wade

Lehigh will be a very good team next year and should end Cornell's run of EIWA championships.

    125: Mason Beckman
    133: Frank Cagnina
    141: Stephen Dutton
    149: Anthony Salupo/Joey Napoli
    157: Sean Bilodeau/Joey Napoli
    165: Brandon Hatchett
    174: Austin Meys
    184: Robert Hamlin
    197: Joe Kennedy
    285: Zach Rey

There has been speculation that Napoli could redshirt.

Either one of those line ups would be formidable Laych. However I don't see Wright jumping to 197. PSU is still going to have to fill that hole with someone else & have one of the middle weights ride the pine unfortunately.
