Somewhere out there, Kyle Dake starts licking his chops while his coach prepares a thank-you letter to the seeding commitee.
I mentioned immediately that I bet Cornell fans have rethought their position on the seeding! Too bad about Caldwell's injury. Grajales was close to a couple of TD's, the match looked like it was going to be very fun. More importantly, though, tough way for a talented kid to end his career. Hope he gets healthy.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.
One, two, Evans is coming for you...
I agree, a healthy Caldwell would do great as an international wrestlers Injuries just suck.
As great as Caldwell's career was, hard not to imagine what could have been... injures out as the #1 seed this year, lost in the last seconds in the semis a few years ago, and didn't he get pinned while winning his quarterfinal match as a freshman?
So unfortunate, you can see part of his shoulder/bone coming out (though not through the skin) when he left the arena.
Here's an article with an interview from Grajales on what happened.

A dislocated shoulder looks that way. That nice round top of the humerus with the deltoid all around it slides down toward the front of the armpit. That leaves the outside end of the collar bone sticking out. I've been there a few times, definitely freaky to see the first time.
It's definitely not humerus to see.
