That's a good point Oldfart, guys like Oliver, Burroughs, Howe, Taylor, Jenkins, Caldwell that have already began to compete in the international style and had international success (not all of them but Oliver, Howe, Caldwell and Jenkins all have) so not only are they dominating NCAA's but they are bringing us back to a wrestling nation!

Howe and Oliver are both jr. world medallists already. Not too bad... Howe also won the US open. I know Burroughs lit him up last time, but I think Howe does have the ability to slow him down and turn it into a brawl- he wrestled 2x world medallist Chamasurlaev a while back and only gave up 2 points (lost 1-0, 1-0).

That said, I think Burroughs has great international potential too. He's just so friggin' fast, and I don't think he rolls around on his back much. I haven't seen enough of Taylor to comment on his freestyle potential.

I forgot to mention Howe, I would be amiss not to put him on that list with those guys as well. Burroughs has that speed and his game is actually pretty simple to this point but I like it against the Russians. Blast 'em with doubles and try to stop him! Fine-tune him and he'll be a monster at the next level. Taylor seems to be improving exponentially by the year so I would not be surprised to see him achieve success at the next level. And Oliver will win some medals before he is done. Good crop coming up here.

It's really hard to envision a scenario where Burroughs or Oliver lose - not impossible, but difficult. But I've got to go with Taylor for the lock. Even down 3 takedowns to none, he came back and tech'd Morse. If Burroughs or Oliver run into a bit of bad luck and are fighting back from a decent deficit, I'm not sure they can pull it off like DT. Of these top three - for what it's worth - I think Taylor is your smart money.

There's lots of names to throw out, McD, Precin, Oliver, Hoch, Carter, Alton, Caldwell, Taylor, Howe, Burroughs...lots of guys that are having great college success that if they choose to continue will really make the USA come back. I could easily see Oliver and Howe going on to win World and Olympic Medals. Even Carter really.

Oliver was never really in danger when they wrestled at Oklahoma State, and I am usually a guy who is flipping out if we have a guy leading by 5

Caldwell has been great in his brief forays into freestyle, placing 3rd at the WTT and scoring multiple points on world medallist Hasaynov in a loss. However, if his shoulder is still screwed like people are saying it is, will it ever get better? McD will need to revamp his style. He's the guy who likes to shoot from far out and pull the leg in, right? Good way to get yourself rolled in freestyle, and I actually think that happened in the jr WTT's and worlds last year.

I don't know much about the other guys you mention.
