I don't care what Nicholson is seeded, I was talking about Robles getting the #1.

I assume Nicholson's strength of schedule hurt his RPI to the point of not being able to get the #3 despite his undefeated record.

I don't see how anyone can see this as outrageous. Robles and McD both had excellent seasons and it is essentially a coin flip on who gets number #1. In this weight there is such a huge difference between the #3 and #4 wrestlers that seeding really is a big deal.
Robles has been so dominant in his victories along with zero losses that I think he deserves the #1 seed.

I don't see why McD and Precin facing each for the fourth time should be taken into account when seeding

Nicholson didn't wrestle a weak schedule by any means, and he's just as undefeated. I don't have a problem with Robles being number 1 as long as they apply the criteria uniformly.

Nicholson is just as undefeated as Robles is, and is also a returning AA.

EDIT: And we're talking about strength of schedule. It's arguing out of both sides of the mouth to say Robles should be #1 but Nicholson should be #4.

Nicholson was an AA in 08, not quite "returning" in the real sense of the word.

He's a returning AA in the exact definition of the word. Not sure what you mean here.

He wasn't an All American last year.

He's come into the last two NCAA tournaments highly regarded and he's missed out on AA, his performance has declined each year since 08.

Yes, the Big 10 was screwed all the way around in seeding. The powers that be wanted Robles in the finals so they separated him from Precin and McDonough. I'll be in Philly sitting with the Badgers. I can't wait to see these matches.
