I could see it going either way, he may walk around at about 140 in season, but he's dieting to do it because on a Flo interview a few months ago he said that he and Smith had to sit down and talk about wether to wrestle 141 and AA again or wrestle 133 and win a National Championship. But I could see it going either way, him winning and wanting to win another so he stays down like McD did even if it's quite the cut, or he could win it and decide he's confident enough to go up and wrestle Marion and whoever else stays down at 141 from the land mine filled weight that 141 is this year.

Maybe next year Alton will win it, but this year I don't think he can beat Marion or Russel, and possibly not Thorn.
Michigan boys struggle to win titles (Churellas, Dowd, Tanenbaum, Olson, Moos....save Luke and Bertin). Honestly, the person who has beat him the most solidly was thorn. He has yet to wrestle Kennedy as well.
I just like his big style....and that kind of wrestling goes huge at the tournament when some guys start wrestling not to lose (ie Ryan Lange and Darrion Caldwell)
Actually Alton lost to Kennedy as well, perhaps the most "lopsided" if you will--although all of Alton's 6 losses were by close scores.Quote:

That's the thing with 141 other than Russell all the guys have either beaten each other of has super close matches. Still think the jitters get Alton at NCAA's. Interesting note, just for thought not to hurt feelings, but Caldwell and his girlfriend broke up this week, wonder if that will affect him at ACC's?
